Our Purpose

Our purpose is to offer a safe environment for parents to teach their children in a moral and godly setting, providing not only education, but also a structured social environment. Included in this once a week co-op are team type classes that lend themselves to group teaching, such as labs (biology and chemistry), literature, writing, drama, other sciences, and home economics – including financial planning and responsibility – to name a few. The classes help provide accountability and help the children learn to work together toward goals. Another benefit is to the parents. The ability to meet together to discuss goals and find solutions to common problems is beneficial, as is the opportunities to seek advice from other moms who have been successfully managed different situations.

Foundational Statements

The co-op’s foundation is its Statements Page. All families must agree to these statements to participate in co-op.
Summarizing a few of the statements:
The Bible is the only inspired and infallible Word of God.
God is eternal and is found in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He died vicariously on the cross as a substitution for sinful man. All humans have a sinful nature and are in need of salvation. We believe the family is the basic governmental, social, and spiritual unit created by God. A family is a married male with a female or a single parent with children related by blood or legal adoption or guardianship.

Some of the guidelines are as follows: (see the forms tab for a full list of guidelines)
All curriculum needs to be checked to insure the content aligns with the Foundational Statements.
Students are required to participate in class and complete assignments. No cell phones or toys are allowed in class, unless approved by teachers for special times like show and tell. Students are to respect teachers. Teachers are required to keep students in class until the end of that period. Teachers are to respect students and in now way belittle or berate them in and out of class.
